Vampires
I know most of you that are visiting have probably read Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series; however, I know not all of you have, so your knowledge on how these vampires work may not be there. So read through the following and you will know all you need to know. `+:; First of all, the vampires do not burst into flames when they're in the sun, as you see in many movies and books and stuff. I know that'd be a pretty cool thing to see, but that's not how it works here. They, instead, begin to feel a bit drowsy when first exposed. As they're in the sun longer, they become drowsier and drowsier until, naturally, they conk out. Pretty simple, right? Because of this many vampires choose not to be out in the sun too horribly much, which is why they're typically pale.
`+:; Transformation into a vampire
: If your character is human and you want them to be bitten, you have to get it approved by a member of the staff. [/ul] `+:; Changes nothing changes when a human is transformed into vampire. They also can not change into bats, despite popular belief... Aging discontinues, and because of this, so do normal bodily functions, such as a female's monthly cycle. This also means that when transformed they become sterile, meaning that the female vampire is unable to become pregnant and the males are unable to get them pregnant. Their eyes remain the color they had been before being turned. The only exceptions are after a vampire has just turned, when their eyes would be a reddish tint because they are still consuming the blood given from the one that bit them, and when they have not fed for awhile. In this case their eyes normally darken, the intensity depending on how hungry they are. They also may have bluish circles under their eyes similar to what a human would have when tired. As mentioned before, the skin of vampires is not naturally a pasty white. If they're of a darker skin tone when bitten, they'll keep that skin tone. As also mentioned before, vampires may be a bit pale because they choose not to go outside too horribly often to keep themselves from becoming drowsy. However, every vampire's skin is ice cold, thanks to the lack of a heart beat to send the blood coursing throughout the body, which in turn helps heat the body. So it only makes sense that because their heart isn't beating, they aren't getting warmed. And now to probably the most popular of attributes: fangs! Now, despite popular belief, they don't really have fangs, or any extremely elongated canines of any kind. However, their canines are somewhat pointier than normal human canines, and are razor sharp. Many vampires in their earlier years obtain scars on their lower lips from accidental bites. [/ul] `+:; Thirst and Hunger `+:; Special Attributes all Vampires have - Speed: Vampires. Are. Fast. Enough said.
- Strength: It is advised not to get a vampire angry. They can easily pick up cars and even heavier objects. It takes some time and effort to learn to control their strength, or they may end up crushing a few fragile humans on accident.
- Heightened Sences
`+:; Special Abilities : Each vampire only has one. We reserve the right to have you change a power if it has already been taken multiple times, or if it's just outrageous.[/ul] If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Humans
I'm not going in depth about humans. If you don't know about humane physical attributes, senses, and all that jazz, that's... interesting, because as far as I know, you are human yourself. All I'm going to say is that there are normal humans, and there are hunters. Hunters are pretty self explanatory also. They track down werewolves and vampires. There are few of these in the world, for vampires and werewolves "only exist in stories and legends." The ones that do exist have typically trained themselves to become stronger, and have also studied quite extensively all possible weaknesses and strengths present in each race. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Werewolves
Werewolves are personally Kristi's favorite. She loves them to death. But enough of that, back to sounding serious. Werewolves, just like their vampire enemies, are quite complicated creatures. Stephenie Meyer's depiction of them is quite unique in several ways. Once again, some of you may not have read any of the Twilight series, so I will explain the werewolf species as much as I can. `+:; Transformation into a werewolf
`+:; In wolf form, they are still in complete control over their human minds. This means that everything the wolf-side does, the human mind knows about. It is, however, possible for a werewolf to lose its temper to the point that they become out of control as both a human and wolf.
`+:; Changes
is burning hot. Their temperature is normally around 108-109 degrees, and it's common for their bodies to remain at this temperature consistently. This contrasts with the vampire's icy cold touch, which possibly has to do with their being natural enemies. As mentioned before, after reaching the stage in the life where they may begin transformation, they have a sudden growth spurt. The males typically get much taller and their build enlarges, while females normally just get taller and slightly more built.[/ul] `+:; Special Abilities - Mind-reading: Werewolves have the ability to read each other's thoughts while in beast form. They have no control over it -- they can't shut it off. When they think, all the other werewolves in beast form can "hear" them. This can be a big help regarding communication when hunting.
- Heightened Sense of Smell: Their sense of smell has changed to particular pinpoint the location of their enemies, vampires. To them a vampire's smell is repelling, and can be picked up from quote a distance.
- Super-strength
- Rapid Healing: When a werewolf is injured, it doesn't take long at all for them to heal. What would normally take weeks, even months to heal, takes only a matter of moments to repair.
`+:; Imprinting is a huge part of what makes a werewolf who they are. Imprinting is when said werewolf finds the one person they are destined to be with forever. It's described as not something like love at first sight; instead, it's more of a feeling that their sense of gravity moves. No longer is the earth what keeps their feet planted on the ground -- it is that person. Nothing matters more than them. `+:; In movies, stories, and legends, werewolves are killed or wounded by anything silver. In all actuality, it doesn't hurt them any more than any other kind of metal object would. If you want to go out and buy silver bullets, go right ahead; however, you could have just as easily saved a lot of money by buying regular bullets.
